IN THE MEDIA
Dr. Kathryn Addo, non-profit business consultant and host of WGIV's Community Inspirations with Dr K, invited us to the studio to talk about Outdone with Ovarian Cancer and its place in the Charlotte, NC community. In the start-up phase of our own non-profit, we sought her expert guidance through the myriad of complexities we faced, and we are grateful that she continues to assist us in making our mark, being used in the service of others, and staying true to our mission.

NURSE MONTHLY MINGLE
DONATES $1,000 TO OWOC!!
Timothy and Diamond Nurse are a husband and wife team who love to have fun with a purpose. With this in mind, they created the Nurse Monthly Mingle, an adult game night held once a month in the Charlotte uptown area. With everything from Giant Uno and Musical Chairs to Twister and Spades, this duo provides crowds numbering in the hundreds with non-stop entertainment. The Nurses then graciously donate a portion of the proceeds from the events to area non-profits. For the month of February 2018, they elected to give to Outdone with Ovarian Cancer, and we were humbled! Our Executive Director spoke briefly to the crowd about her own struggles with cancer, why OWOC was formed, and how crucial it is for women to know their bodies and obtain the best gynecologist possible. OWOC celebrates Mr and Mrs Nurse for their compassionate humanitarianism!
